ИГРА «ЗВЁЗДНЫЙ ЧАС»
8 класс

Цель занятия:
формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся в говорении, чтении, аудировании.
Задачи:
Образовательные:
повторить пройденный материал о Вашингтоне и Лондоне; расширить кругозор учащихся по этим темам.
Развивающая :
развивать внимательность, любознательность, смекалку, догадку.
Воспитательная :
воспитывать взаимопомощь, дружбу, уважение к культуре другого народа.
Оснащение:
1)Плакат со скороговоркой; 2) Карточки с буквами, с именами собственными и геогра - фическими названиями. 3)Картины с рассказом. 4)Компьютер, запись песен "Beatles" 5)Картины с видами Лондона и Вашингтона.
Ход занятия .
Teacher: Today we are having a game "Star Hour".
I.
The first competition is phonetic.
Look at this tongue-twister (плакат). You should pronounce it as quickly as possible. At first listen to me. TONGUE-TWISTER. She sells sea shells on the sea shore, the shells that she sells on the seashore are sea shells, I am sure. T: Now choose the person in your team who can pronounce it the quickest, (the winner gets a star)

How do you know London?
T: You know that Sir Christopher Wren was a famous English architect. Look at the views of London and choose the picture in which there is a building in London designed by Sir Christopher Wren. (карточки выставляются на доску - 1959, 1980, Liverpool, Japanese, Yoko Ono, New York). All the cards are connected with the Beatles. Can you comment them? What events from the Beatles life are connected with these dates and names? Answers: 1)1959 - the beginning of the Beatles. 2)1980 - John Lennon was killed. 3)Liverpool - They were from Liverpool
