A cat went for a walk in the neighbourhood
with her kittens in the morning.
One morning a wise old mother-cat was walking along
the neighbourhood (Br. English) with her two baby
kittens. Suddenly they saw a huge dog standing in front
of them. The kittens were terrified and in their ring little
voices they cried: “Mew, mew”.
The big dog stared at them and growled gr-r-r.
The mother stood very still, looked him into the eyes,
opened the mouth and said gr-r-r.
The dog was astonished. Gr-r-r he answered and
quickly went away.
The mother-cat smiled and turned to her kittens.
“Now”, she said, “I hope you understand the importance
of learning a second language”.
