T.-Hi, dear friends. I hope you are fine and tuned to our work. As usually, it's up to you to guess the theme of our lesson.

On the blackboard you can see "a word serpent" with hidden words in it. If you guess this secret code, you will know what we

are going to talk about today. Besides, listen to the beginning of that song and try to remember its lyrics.

T.-Tomorrow my friend is going to celebrate his holiday and asked for my advice how to decorate his flat. Probably you have

faced that problem too. How did you cope with it? What things did you buy and what did you do for you flat or house to look

great?

T.-Do you want to see what other interesting things to give I have found? Try to guess by watching this cartoon.

So could you tell me which is the best way to decorate his house? Remember that he is limited in money and time.

T.- I almost forgot. My friend has invited me and my brother to his party and we have a dilemma what present to buy. On the one

hand we are students and can't spend much money; on the other hand, we want our present to be both practical and a lasting

reminder. Could you help us to make a right choice?

I have taken the pictures of those things and would like you to decide which two things would make the best present.

T. And now I want to tell you a very interesting fairy-tale about the magician and the way he celebrated his birthday.

Look at me and try to understand what I am going to tell you.

Find in the text all the words and expressions to deal with today's theme and let's improve their pronunciation.

Besides, find in the text all the verbs ending in "ED" and let's concentrate on the right pronunciation of their endings

and verbs which form their past form in a quite different way.

T. - And now, you are in a wonderful forest, the weather is fine you are lying on the grass enjoying birds' singing. Try

to relax in full. You can hear either my voice or music, or think about something pleasant.

T. - What pictures did you draw in your head? Did you listen to me or music? Did you like that tune? (Небольшая

Today I would like to suggest you an unusual way of congratulating your friends, by means of birthday songs.

(ученики и исполняют короткие песни, лексически связанные с темой урока и поздравлениями к данному

празднику).

T.- Listen to the text. The narrator of that text went to the birthday party and is ready to share his successful experience with us.

The narrator is giving advice how to make birthday party unforgettable

1. Open the envelopes. As you can see, they contain 2 cards, pinked card with /d/ and blue one with /t/.

Listen to the verbs and hold up the right card indicating the end of the word.

Ball toss

T.- And now another game. I will

throw you a ball and will call the infinitive of the irregular verb your task is to catch the ball

and tell the past tense form of the verb.

reading the story aloud to you.
