2. Развитие аудитивных, лексических, грамматических навыков.

3. Развитие интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка.

Оборудование: Компьютер, презентация.

Ход мероприятия

Teacher: Good morning, dear children. I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine.

Today we will play the game “Star Hour” Our topic is “The place we live in”.

There is no place like home. The English people say “ East or West, the home is

best”. Let’s remember the names of the rooms and furniture we have in our houses

and flat.

The I Round.

-

I want you to listen to my stories. I shall describe different rooms. You

should guess what room it is. For every right answer you’ll get a star.

People can prepare breakfast, dinner or supper in this room. Women usually spend

much time there. We have a fridge, a sink, a table, a cooker and a cupboard in this

room. (a kitchen)

There are beds or sofa in this room. You can see a little table and a wardrobe there.

People have a rest in this room. ( a bedroom)

This room is not very large. We take a shower or have a bath in this room.

You can clean your teeth, wash your hands and face there.( a bathroom)

Families get together for the meal in this room. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner

or supper there. There are some chairs and a table in this room.( a living-room)

You can see a table, a chair, a bookcase and some shelves on the wall in this room.

There are books and magazines on the shelves. You can read books, do homework

or write a letter in this room. ( a study)

The II round.

Will you look at the blackboard, please? Let’s read the words on it all

together. You will have to think for a while and write down as many

sentences as you can on the topic “The place we live in”.

Now it’s captains contest.

- You can see a word “downstairs”. The captains must make up as many words

as they can from the letters of this word.

The III round.

Make your own house. Write down the members of your family on it and tell

us something about youк family.
